St Nicholas is an attractive, typically Kentish church which plays an important part in Linton village life. Together with the Pub and the village hall, it is a central feature of Linton in every sense.
History
Please see the accompanying booklet giving some of the history of the church
With regard to the history of Linton, a beautiful ‘scrapbook’ was discovered last year, and the original is in the church. It was produced by Linton Women’s Institute in 1955, featuring a beautifully embroidered cover and parchment pages with handwritten articles about the history of the village up to the 1950s, including lots of old photos. A "photo-book" facsimile copy is available for anyone to borrow.
